Donetsk, Dec 26 - DAN. DPR Communications Ministry specialists designed an authentication centre to manage e-signature certificates, Communications Minister Viktor Yatsenko said at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“The Communications Ministry has designed the Core Centre, i.e. the software to produce and manage e-signature certificates meeting the latest Russian cryptosecurity standards,” Yatsenko said. “The system identifies the person who has signed an electronic document and guarantees its inalterability after it has been e-signed.”DPR experts surpassed their CIS colleagues in this area because the Donetsk People’s Republic will use universal signature in all spheres of the economy, including finance, requests to government websites, accountability or document turnover.

“Any DPR resident can freely use their e-signature after downloading the software from the Authentication Centre website. To create a valid e-signature, the user needs the qualification certificate issued by the state-owned enterprise Donbass Post,” the minister said.

The system is expected to start operating at full capacity in 2018. The cerfiticate price for a natural person will not exceed 300 rubles.

An electronic signature, or e-signature, refers to data in electronic form, which is logically associated with other data in electronic form and which is used by the signatory to sign. It is a means to confirm that the document is intact and identify the signatory.

It can be used by legal entities or natural persons as electronic counterpart of handwritten signature to lend legal force to electronic document. *jk
