DPR Central Bank issues 820,000 plastic cards

Donetsk, Jan 8 – DAN. The DPR Central Republican Bank has issued roughly 820 thousand payment cards to DPR residents since the mid-2015, its press service said.

"As of 1 January 2018, the Central Bank issued 820,000 payment cards."

Earlier the bank's chairwoman Irina Nikitina said that the bank had issued 248,000 cards in the first 11 months of 2017.

The DPR Central Bank launched cards in a test mode in mid-July 2015, and installed cash machines, payment terminals and other equipment to facilitate payments with plastic. The system tests were finalized by August 2015. *ot
