DPR blames Kiev for attempts to deteriorate economic situation after pension payments databases were hacked

Donetsk, Oct 6 – DAN. Ukrainian hackers who compromised the database of DPR Pension Fund (PF) aimed at destabilizing economic situation in the region, the fund chairwoman Galina Sagaidakova told journalists speaking at a press conference in DAN news agency.

The PF's databases were hacked on October 4th putting pension payments to a halt.

"We believe the sole purpose of the attack was to deteriorate social situation in DPR. It is well known that Ukraine tries by all means to toughen economic blockade of DPR," she said.

"We consider it to be a sabotage act aiming at disrupting the timescale of pension payments and at avoiding making payments to those who receive welfare both in Ukraine and DPR," Sagaidakova explained.
