Donetsk, May 11 - DAN. DPR has restricted access to the social networks of the American company Meta, Facebook and Instagram (earlier banned in the Russian Federation), the Headquarters of Territorial Defense.
"Telecom operators have begun blocking prohibited information that poses a threat to residents on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. In particular, access to the information resources of the American company Meta has already been blocked, as their social media platforms allowed calls for violence against Russian-speaking users,” the statement says.
Facebook is the world's largest social network, Instagram is an American social network for sharing photos and videos. Russia has earlier blocked them as they were used by Western governments to spread disinformation about Russia and threats against Russian-speaking people. *ot
