Donetsk, Dec 20 – DAN. DPR authorities plan to reconstruct at least five multi apartment houses in 2018, to house families who lost their homes to war, said deputy chairman of the DPR Council of Ministers Dmitry Trapeznikov.

"We continue to reconstruct and build housing; we shall do it until every family who lost home receives a new one. In 2018 we plan (to reconstruct) five houses in Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka and Uglegorsk," he said during the ceremony of handing over keys to new apartments on Rozy Luxemburg street to families who used to live in the house No.9 on Vzlyetnaya street in Donetsk.

The house, known as "the ninth", was located near the Donetsk airport and was destroyed in the active military action, which took place in the area, leaving 137 families homeless. The reconstruction of a former dormitory and health center of the Donetsk national university began in May 2017, to house the residents of "the ninth" house. Today, first families received the keys to their new homes. *ot
