Donetsk, Dec 17 – DAN. DPR authorities have allocated financial aid to nearly 1,400 residents of Kiev-controlled Donbass under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program in 2018,” the Donetsk People’s Republic Labour and Social Policy Minsiter Larisa Tolstykina said.
"Over the period from February 15 to December 15 this year, 1,371 compatriots received the assistance for the total of 8 mln 415 thousand rubles. Among those are 85 war veterans, 965 large families and 321 disabled children living in Ukraine-controlled areas."
"We hope the program shall be extended to 2019 and we have already prepared appropriate propositions based on the requests we receive."
The Ministry has been allocating financial aid since February. Families with several children receive social aid of up to 6,000 rubles. Veterans of the WWII are eligible to 12,000 rubles. Children with disabilities receive 5,000 rubles. *ot
