Donetsk, Jan 1 – DAN. Almost 400,000 humanitarian aid kits from Russia's EMERCOM were distributed among families with children by DPR authorities in 2017, said the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy's press service.

"To support socially vulnerable residents we put a lot of effort into providing humanitarian aid to families who have children under 3 years old. As the result, every child under 3 y.o. receives a balanced nutrition every month. The total number of humanitarian kits distributed in 2017 is 399,948."

Of those, over 135,000 were given to families with children under 1 year old, over 260,000 – to families with 1-3 y.o. children.

The aid is provided to residents of DPR towns and regions in accordance with the procedures endorsed by the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko.

The last Russian humanitarian convoy 2017 arrived in the DPR on Deember 21. Russian humanitarian aid comprised 270 tons of food kits and baby formula. *ot
