Donetsk, Feb 13 - DAN. DPR activists have sent to the International Criminal Court the materials on the public transport stop shelling in Donetsk’s Bosse neighbourhood on 22 January 2015 in which eight people were killed.
“The Public Commission for recording Kiev war crimes in Donbass carried out its own probe into the Bosse District shelling in January 2015 which left eight people dead,” Commission member Ivan Kopyl told a news conference on Tuesday.
“We gathered all materials and drew a statement and sent it to the ICC today,” Kopyl said.
He said the Commission had also investigated the shelling of Donetsk’s Leninskiy and Kirovskiy districts on 4 February 2015 in which eight civilians were killed and another 30 were wounded. “These materials and the relevant statement will be forwarded to the Court as well,” the activist said.
The Public Commission for recording Kiev’s war crimes in Donbass began to work in mid-2015. It includes specialists in various fields, such as law and criminal investigation. Meanwhile, DPR has a special commission with similar functions at work, established at DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko’s order.*jk
