Donetsk, Jul 24 - DAN. Donetsk Water Treatment Plant (DFS) plans to resume operation on Monday afternoon, a representative of Voda Donbassa state-owned water supply company told Donetsk News Agency.
“If everything goes well and if we have no emergencies, DFS will resume operation later today,” he said.
The company official added that electricians were now repairing the transmission lines damaged by shelling.
On 22 July evening, Ukrainian forces delivered strikes at the DFS area damaging power lines feeding the facility which had to suspend operation.
DFS supplies water to both sides of the contact line, DPR-controlled Donetsk and Yasinovataya and Vasilyevka and Spartak villages, and Kiev-controlled Avdeyevka, Krasnogorovka and Verkhnetoretskoye village.
Over the period of the Donbass conflict, more than 370 impacts of explosive ordnance on DFS premises were recorded.*jk
