Donetsk, Jun 1 - DAN. The Donetsk Water Treatment Plant (DFS) water pipe to the DPR capital has sustained shelling damage, Voda Donbassa state-owned company representative told Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“We’ve just learnt that DFS water pipe No 14 has been damaged. It feeds Donetsk and is a key water duct; DFS had to suspend operation,” he said.
Water supply to the DPR capital has been reduced dramatically, he added. Damage assessment and repairs are underway.
DFS water pipe No 14 is located in Donetsk-Severniy village area. It supplies water to parts of Donetsk, Makeyevka and Yasinovataya. The area often comes under fire of Ukrainian forces.*jk
