Donetsk, Apr 23 - DAN. Donetsk Railways plans to complete repairs on the war-torn Uglegorsk railway station by November 2019, the company’s press service reported on Tuesday.

“Builders are now installing plastic steel windows, repairing overhead beams, wooden structures and roof and laying brick walls. The works are expected to be completed by November 2019,” the press service said.

On Tuesday, Donetsk People's Republic Transport Minister Dmitriy Podlipanov and Donetsk Railways Director General Vladimir Kabatsiy inspected the Uglegorsk terminal.

The repair project is estimated to cost some 17 million rubles. As of now, the rebuilding only involves Donetsk and Yasinovataya construction departments without outsourcers,” the press service quoted Kabatsiy as saying.

Uglegorsk is among the towns worst hit during the civil war in Ukraine. It was 90-percent ruined in the 2015 fighting. The railway station sustained damage to the roof, windows and the interior. Repairs were launched in April 2019.*jk
