Donetsk, Mar 2 – DAN. DPR and Ukrainian representatives plan to carry out a joint inspection of the Donetsk Water Treatment Plant (DFS) and adjacent area on Friday, a Republic’s defence source told Donetsk News Agency.

“At today’s conference attended by officials from OSCE, Joint Centre for Control and Coordination, Voda Donbassa water supply company and the Emergencies Ministry, an accord was reached for a joint inspection of DFS and adjacent roads for the presence of explosive hazards,” the source said.

OSCE and JCCC representatives will join the inspection and the conflicting parties have already extended safety guarantees.

At the Contact Group meeting in Minsk on Wednesday, the parties reached several accords to resolve the DFS crisis.

DFS came under a massive Ukrainian forces strike at 24 February night. DFS structures received eight hits, including chlorine storage, a chlorine pipe, water reservoirs and the bomb shelter. DFS administration decided to stop DFS operation and evacuate the personnel. According to DPR Operations Command, DFS was shelled with heavy artillery from Avdeyevka direction.*jk
