Donetsk, Mar 30 - DAN. Donetsk Electrical Engineering Plant (DETZ), currently under DPR management, has resumed operation, the Republic's Industry and Trade Ministry told Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.“Following receivership procedures, Donetsk Electrical Engineering Plant resumed operation on 27 March,” the Ministry said.
Some 100 employees came to work on the first day, performing their duties with “great enthusiasm and fervour,” DETZ director Vadim Tatsenko said.
“After completion of preparatory work, all personnel will be involved in production,” Tatsenko said adding that the company would “show the first results in the nearest future.”
Acting DPR Industry and Trade Minister Alexei Granovskiy earlier announced that DETZ would be relaunched. He had met with DETZ personnel to assure them that the sum of wages would remain the same in ruble equivalent.
Donetsk Electrical Engineering Plant was established in 1915. It manufactures electric equipment and provides its overhauls. Among its products are starters, explosion-proof induction motors and transformer substations.
On 27 February, DPR and LPR heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy demanded that Kiev stop the blockade by 1 March. The demand was not met, and the Republics introduced receivership at 43 companies that had been operating under Ukrainian jurisdiction.*jk
