Donetsk, Aug 11 — DAN. No cases of poisoning have been recorded at the Donetsk brewery following an ammonia leak, a company representative told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“The fire was extinguished at night. Our refrigerating machinery leaked ammonia; there’ve been no poisoning cases, ” he said.
On Wednesday evening, Ukrainian artillery shelled Donetsk’s Kalininsky district; enemy projectiles hit the brewery premises starting a fire. The strike depressurized a tank which leaked ammonia. The authorities urged the residents living within two kilometers of the company to stay at home and keep the windows shut.
It is the first Ukrainian army strike at a civil facility which caused a poisonous substance leak since the Donbass conflict broke out.*jk
