Donetsk, Mar 2 – DAN.Dokuchayevsk, a town south of Donetsk, became the first DPR settlement where state-owned Donbass post launched medicine home delivery.
“The project (home delivery of medicines – eds Donetsk News Agency) was launched in Dokuchayevsk in mid-February. It has proved quite successful; people make such requests and we take orders especially from villagers as they have no pharmacies,” Donbass Post director general Artem Serdyukov told DAN on Thursday.
The service is available to disabled persons, pensioners and the elderly. It will be launched in Enakievo shortly.
Project development began in autumn 2016. It envisioned home delivery of medicines through online or postal orders and payment on delivery.
Donbass Post was established by the DPR Ministry of Communications decree dated 10 October 2014. It provides a range of postal services including delivery by courier, delivery of cargoes from Russia, pension and welfare benefits payments, utility bills payment acceptance, advertising, delivery of bills, sale of Phoenix mobile operator plans and mobile payment services. The company operates a network of 218 offices across the Republic. *jk
