Donetsk, Oct 6 — DAN. Workers are completing the replacement of a 1.2-kilometer long water line in Dokuchayevsk, town mayor Alexander Kachanov told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.

The renovation project, launched in late August, is being implemented by sponsors from the Vladimir region.  The water line which runs to the Alexandrinovka neighborhood has been replaced as well, Kachanov said.

In May 2022, the Vladimir region took Dokuchayevsk under patronage. The town had been under massive fire since 2014; the number of artillery attacks has decreased considerably since the contact line was pushed back.

The sponsors help repairs roads, utility lines and social facilities including schools, kindergartens, multi-functional public services centers and the local hospital. Last year alone, some 70 civil infrastructure facilities were repaired in the town. The Vladimir region also helps improve Dokuchayevsk children’s health and arranges exchanges of experience between specialists with various professions.*jk
