Donetsk, Feb 1 - DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled Dokuchayevsk on Thursday morning causing damage to the local oil refinery and a residential house, head of DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said.
“Today, at 9:45 a.m., Ukrainian forces delivered a strike at Dokuchayevsk industrial zone. The oil refinery at 36 Industrialnaya Street came under fire,” Yakubov said.
Refinery equipment, heat exchange units, an oil pipe and petroleum products tank casing sustained damage. A house at 2a Industrialnaya Street was damaged as well, he said.
Dokuchayevsk and its suburbs are a hot spot on Donetsk axis. The town and neighbourhoods in its outskirts repeatedly come under Ukrainian forces fire. DPR Operations Command regularly records damage to Dokuchayevsk houses and infrastructure.
Earlier reports said Ukrainian forces fired more than 500 rounds of ammunition at DPR frontline areas over the past 24 hours. *jk
