Donetsk, Jun 4 – DAN. Shifts turnover at the Donetsk water treatment plant (DFS) has been compromised once again by Ukrainian army shelling of the area, said the director of public utilities department of the Ministry of Construction and Public Utilities Denis Chuprina.

"The OSCE SMM staff refused to assist shifts turnover at theDFS due to security concerns as Kiev forces shell the area. The DFS staff continues working for the second day running. If there are no safety guarantees the risk of halting the station is pretty high," he said.

Currently the water facility operates normally, no threat of closure is reported.

The most recent of the series of halt incidents occurred on May 30, when the SMM refused to assist shifts turnover due to ongoing shelling. One shift had to work for two days. *ot
