Donetsk, May 12 — DAN. Thousands of tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered to Donbass via Crimea since 2022, Republic of Crimea Head Sergey Aksyonov told the Donetsk News Agency.
“Crimea has become a large logistics hub for supplies of cargoes to the new regions, ” Aksyonov said. “Thousands of relief supplies from other Russian regions have been delivered to the DPR and LPR since the beginning of 2022.”
Crimea’s construction workers are helping rebuild the (Donetsk People’s) Republic together with specialists from other regions. For example, they are building apartment houses in Mariupol, he said.
Earlier, Head of Russia’s Federal Agency for Sea and Inland Water Transport Zakhary Dzhioyev told DAN that the Mariupol seaport had received some 14,000 tons of construction materials in the period from late September 2022 to April 2023.
