Civilian wounded as Ukrainian forces shell western Donetsk

Donetsk, Oct 17 - DAN. A civilian was wounded on Tuesday evening as Ukrainian forces shelled Trudovskiye neighbourhood in western Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district, DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said.

“Today, at around 7:30 p.m., Maryinka-based Ukrainian army units opened fire at Trudovskiye neighbourhood in Donetsk’s western outskirts. An elderly man was seriously wounded in 82mm mortar shelling,” Yakubov said.

DPR militiamen are evacuating the man. The ambulance cannot arrive at the scene as the shelling is continuing.*jk
