Donetsk, Jan 23 – DAN. A chlorine room at the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct has been damaged by Kiev's shelling on Wednesday, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.
"In the night of January 23, Kiev armed formations fired at the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct water pumping station of the first level. The entrance hall, clorine room and accumulator room have been damaged."
The personnel had to take to shelter. The AGS shelling originated from Novosyelovka-2 direction, Yakubov added.
Security situation around frontline Yasinovataya has deteriorated recently as Ukrainian forces shelled the Vasilyevskaya pumping station on January 17 damaging two civilian vehicles. On January 10 their shelling resulted in three civilian injuries and a burnt truck.
The Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct supplies water to Dokuchayevsk and adjoining townships, Yasinovataya and parts of Donetsk, and to the Ukrainian territory.*ot
