Donetsk, Mar 10 — DAN. The number of Russian passports issued to Donetsk People’s Republic residents has approached 640,000, the DPR Interior Ministry’s Migration Service (MS) told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.
“Overall, 639,856 passports have been issued including 185,356 since the Republic’s accession to Russia on September 30, 2022, ” the Migration Service said.
As of early February, 553,000 DPR residents had obtained Russian passports. More than 86,000 passports have been issued since the beginning of February to March 10.
Earlier reports said that the Migration Service would launch six more acceptance facilities under the Multifunctional Public Service Center and Donbass Post starting March 13.*jk
