Donetsk, Aug 17 — DAN. Fifty-four sport centers will be rebuilt in the Donetsk People’s Republic by 2026, DPR Acting Deputy Prime Minister Larisa Tolstykina said on Thursday.
“The sponsor regions have helped repair 19 sport centers including sport schools in the Republic since 2022, ” Tolstyukina said adding that repairs on another 28 facilities were ongoing.
The DPR plans to restore another 12 sport centers by yearend. Ten sports grounds will be built in DPR downs and districts including four outdoor fitness and health centers, five GTO physical culture training program courts and one freerun court, she said.
Construction workers pay special attention to the sport facilities damaged by artillery fire, the official said.
Earlier reports said that the Russian government would allocate more than two billion rubles for renovation of 43 sport facilities in the new territories.*jk
