Donetsk, Jul 13 — DAN. Ukrainian forces’ artillery fire has damaged 521 educational institutions of the Donetsk People’s Republic since February 2022, said the DPR Education and Science Ministry.
“These include 370 municipal facilities: 171 schools, 164 kindergartens, 26 supplementary education centers and another nine educational institutions, ” the Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency.
Damage was also caused to 69 vocational colleges, 52 universities, 16 boarding schools, one orphanage, four supplementary education centers, eight research institutes and one facility which are administered by regional authorities.
The Donetsk News Agency earlier reported that one of the buildings of the Mariupol Civil Engineering School would be commissioned in September. A construction company has started interior finish of the building and is also installing utility lines, repairing the roof and winterizing the frontage.*jk
