Donetsk, Apr 20 - DAN. DPR Health Ministry has registered 41 patients in Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region entitled to medical aid as part of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme.

As of April 20, 2017, 41 patients were on the waiting list, the Ministry press service reported on Thursday.

Twenty persons seek prosthetic services, 11 will take adult cancer chemotherapy, six need pacemaker implants and another ten want obstetric aid, according to the Ministry.

Four women from Kiev-held Donetsk Region areas gave birth in DPR receiving assistance under the humanitarian programme.

The humanitarian programme Centre reported 755 calls to the programme hotline as of Thursday. A majority of callers were interested in prosthetic services.

On February 17, DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the Donbass people reunification programme.

The main objective is to support socially vulnerable groups of the population. The health care segment of the programme envisions medical assistance in seven fields including obstetric, chemotherapy and prosthetic services. *jk
