Donetsk, Sep 29 — DAN. The Mariupol lift service will be fully restored by the end of 2024, the mayor of the maritime city Oleg Morgun said on Friday.
“The total number of lifts in the city is 1,604; of those, just 51 are working, ” Morgun said. “We understand that Ukraine did not carry out maintenance works, and that they took serious damage: 26 lifts are currently under repairs.”
Another 300 are expected to be repaired by the end of the year, and the city lift service will be fully restored along with the dispatching system by end of 2024, he added.
Reports in April said that ten Donbass enterprises would make up an industrial cluster to meet the regional demand for lift parts.*jk
