Donetsk, Mar 6 — DAN. More than 2,000 apartment buildings will be restored in the Donetsk People’s Republic in 2023, the press service of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin told the Donetsk News Agency on Monday.

Earlier in the day, Khusnullin said that federal customers, sponsor regions and Defense Ministry’s construction workers would join efforts to restore more than 2,800 apartment houses in the new Russian regions.

“In the DPR, more than 2,000 apartment houses will be restored, ” the press service quoted Khusnullin as saying.

Another 47 high-rise apartment houses would be built in Mariupol, Volnovakha and Alchevsk along with social infrastructure, he said. 

In 2022, over 8,000 facilities were built or restored in the new Russian territories. The city of Mariupol in the DPR led other areas of the country by the number of construction projects.*jk
