Donetsk, Feb 2 - DAN. One hundred and forty-two people crossed the contact line between the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Ukraine-controlled area via the Yelenovka humanitarian corridor south of Donetsk on February 1, the DPR Emergencies Ministry reported on Tuesday.
“Thirteen vehicles and 50 people entered the DPR, and 18 cars and 92 people went to Ukraine,” the report said.
To enter the Republic, visitors have to obtain a permit from the DPR COVID-19 crisis headquarters; residence registration in Ukraine is required to exit the DPR. Visitors have to fill out a form stating their consent for a test at an in-patient hospital. They can opt to take a COVID-19 rapid test at the crossing point. Self-isolation at home is allowed in case of negative test.
There are four crossing points on the contact line between the DPR and Ukraine-held territory but only the Yelenovka-Novotroitskoye facility functions at present due to the spread of the coronavirus infection. It opens twice a week as humanitarian corridor, on Monday and Friday.*jk
