Donetsk, Jan 24 - Ukrainian army strikes damaged 120 medical centres in the Donetsk People’s Republic during the war, the Republic’s Health Care Ministry press service told Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“One hundred and twenty medical centres sustained damage as a result of fighting,” the press service said. “Some of them were shelled again after rebuilding.”
The worst damage was caused to medical centres in Donetsk and Gorlovka, Makeyevka and Khartsyzsk medical centres suffered minor damage. According to the Ministry, the Republic has restored 61 medical centres, or more than half. Rebuilding projects are ongoing.
In 2017, DPR Health Care Ministry invested 35 million rubles in medical centres renovation projects. The funding covered major repairs of buildings and structures, equipment, utility networks and heat meters as well as modernisation costs. *jk
