Donetsk, Mar 11 - DAN. About 1,000 customers were left without electricity as Ukrainian forces shelled the Staromikhailovka neighbourhood in western Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic Coal and Energy Ministry press service reported on Thursday.
“Half of the residents were left without electricity overnight following a massive strike delivered from Ukrainian forces’ positions,” the report said.
Nine transformer substations went offline leaving 1,000 customers without electricity, the DPR Coal and Energy Ministry said.
Earlier on Thursday, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported damage to a gas pipe in the Shakha Trudovskaya settlement in the western outskirts of Donetsk as a result of shelling by Ukrainian forces.*jk
