Donetsk, Dec1 – DAN. The Donetsk Design and Technology Institute has developed a prototype cultivator model for the Republic’s farmers.

“Inter-row hoe is broadly used by DPR farms for row crops cultivation. The scientists have offered DPR farmers a new model,” Institute director Vladimir Kitkin told Donetsk News Agency.

The cultivator features a 5.6 meter effective width with 6 to 16 centimetres tilling and can be attached to any type of tractor. All project documents are available to DPR agribusinesses for subsequent domestic production arrangements.

“The model meets the best standards boasting efficient performance and quality hoeing and weeding. A sowing implement option is available,” the director added.

Earlier, Acting Industry and Trade Minister Alexei Granovskiy told a news conference at DAN that the Republic planned to launch the production of cultivators and agricultural equipment by yearend.

The Donetsk Design and Technology Institute was established in 1965. It currently has six departments and specializes in custom-made heating equipment, boiler house design and upgrade, on-site service lines, etc.
