Donetsk, Aug 5 — DAN. The Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has been established in the DPR, the Russian investigative authority said following a briefing session in Severodonetsk.
“An Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has been established in Donetsk, it joins several territorial departments located in liberated cities of Donbass and Ukraine, ” the statement reads.
The briefing session was headed by the Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin and focused on the war crimes of Ukrainian militants against civilian population and military personnel.
“Investigations in 44 criminal cases have been finalized, eight Ukrainian nationalists have been additionally identified. Four cases against Ukrainian commanders are ready to be handed over to DPR and LPR prosecutor general’s offices, ” the Investigative Committee of Russia said. *ot
