Donetsk, Sep 7 — DAN. Reporters from at least five foreign countries have been accredited to cover the parliamentary and municipal elections in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR Election Commission press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“Foreign mass media have registered to provide coverage of the election procedure, for example, ORF from Austria and Al Jazeera from Qatar; there are also representatives from France, Great Britain, China and other states, ” the press service said. “So the coverage is rather broad.”
As for Russian mass media outlets, almost all federal TV channels as well as journalists from St Petersburg, Samara, Saratov, Kaluga and other Russian regions are reporting on the elections, the Election Commission said.
Earlier reports said that the DRP elections would be covered by 400 Russian and foreign reporters.*jk
