Donetsk, Nov 15 – DAN. A Russian humanitarian aid convoy is to deliver 250,000 coronavirus vaccine doses to the DPR on November 25, the Republic's Ministry of Health said.

"We expect 250,000 Sputnik Light vaccines for inoculation of the DPR residents," the report reads.

Sputnik Light is a single dose COVID-19 vaccine developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. It consists of the first dose of the Sputnik V vaccine (recombinant human adenovirus serotype number 26 (rAd26) of Sputnik V).

Sputnik Light can elicit the development of antigen specific IgG antibodies in 96.9% of individuals on the 28th day after vaccination.

The DPR launched immunization of the population on February 1, 2021 using Sputnik V and Sputnik Light vaccines supplied by Russia as part of humanitarian assistance. About 200,000 people have got vaccinated against COVID-19 by late September. *ot
