Donetsk, May 20 – DAN. The actions of Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky and his team do not contribute to the soonest peace settlement, said DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.
"The first year of Zelensky's presidential term was marked by both a deepened political, social and economic crisis and further Donbass alienation."
She said Zelensky should establish a direct dialog with the region's representatives, not Ukrainian figureheads.
"Kiev refuses additional ceasefire control measures, disengagement of forces, legal clearance of detainees; it does not pay pensions, salary debts, does not suggest any solutions, dismisses all our propositions," Nikonorova said.
At the same time Zelensky's team adopted the tactics of its predecessors. The number of casualties and damages doubled during Vladimir Zelensky's presidential term, six civilians were killed and 72 injured. *ot
