Donetsk, May 1 — DAN. More than 55,800 residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic have received “United Russia” membership cards, the press service of the all-Russia political party’s regional branch told the Donetsk News Agency.
“As of today, the regional branch has 55,851 members, ” a press service representative said adding that another 3,300 prospective members were waiting for their membership cards to arrive.
Last week, 532 residents of Yenakiyevo, Donetsk, Gorlovka, Dokuchayevsk, Yasinovataya, Debaltsevo and Starobeshevo joined the party, she said.
“United Russia” is the largest political party of the Russian Federation. It was founded on December 1, 2001 through a merger of the “Unity” movement and Fatherland — All Russia and Our Home is Russia election blocs. The Party established its regional branch in the DPR in October 2022 after the Republic’s accession to Russia. Denis Pushilin was elected its secretary.*jk
