Moscow, Dec 17 — DAN. The United Russia political party already has 160,000 members in the new regions, the party’s Chairman, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said at United Russia’s Congress in Moscow.
“I’d like to say words of gratitude to 160,000 new member who recently joined our ranks, ” Medvedev said. “People received membership cards in the new regions of our country and are now working in frontline-type conditions.”
The United Russia branch in the Donetsk People’s Republic is the largest in the new regions; it numbered more than 126,000 members as of early December.*jk
