Donetsk, Sep 21 — DAN. The implementation of the development program for the Donetsk People’s Republic has priority for the United Russia (ER) faction, the largest in the DPR parliament, faction leader Valery Skorokhodov told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“The priority for the DPR parliament is full implementation of the Republic’s development program presented by DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin during the election campaign (on August 23 — eds DAN), ” Skoprokhodov said. “It’s a truly people’s program covering the coal industry, metallurgy, machine-building, science and education, medicine, agriculture etc.”
United Russia received unprecedented support at the DPR elections at all levels. The ER faction will also work on resolving local residents’ problems and do its best to live up to people’s trust and make Donbass a desirable place to live in, he said.
Earlier reports said that United Russia was drawing a DPR development strategy. The party included the provisions on the new regions in its People’s Program. ER chairman Dmitry Medvedev said that the new territories had submitted more than 150,000 proposals to the People’s Program.*jk
