Donetsk, Apr 13 – DAN. The discussion over new peace initiatives in Donbass is meaningless until a mechanism of ceasefire violators prosecution is adopted, said DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin.

"We understand that any such initiatives will be derailed by Ukraine just because there is no mechanism to indicate and prosecute those who carry out provocations and shelling.  In our opinion, an efficient mechanism is needed, and after that a new truce," he said commenting on the possibility of a new ceasefire agreement in Donbass.

Pushilin said he expected the next meeting in Minsk on April 18 to be an intense one. He also urged the OSCE mission to assume an active stance on revealing offenders of peace agreements.

Earlier DPR top negotiator said that he considers breaching the Easter truce to be a provocation on the Ukrainian side.
