The situation in Donbass has aggravated as Vladimir Zelenskiy took over Petr Poroshenko as Ukrainian president, the DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonorova said speaking at the "Minsk process: reality and tendencies" round table organized in the Russian Tass News Agency.
"We are in a position to say that the situation at the negotiations and in the conflict in general is much worse than it used to be during Poroshenko's presidency," she said.
The round table gathered DPR, LPR representatives in the Minsk talks, as well as a number of political experts.
Zelenskiy won Ukrainian presidential election 2019 taking over Poroshenko in the second round with 73 percent of the ballots cast.
He was inaugurated on May 20 same year. Zelenskiy's campaign focused on bringing an end to the war and fighting corruption, as well investigating activities of the previous authorities. *ot
