Donetsk, Feb 8 – DAN. Donetsk will never accept Kiev's aggressive rhetoric and condemns Kiev's plans on Donbass that run counter the Minsk Agreements, said DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Contact Group Leonid Kravchuk said on February 7 at the Ukraine-24 TV channel that Ukraine's army must "must respond with a shot to a shot". He also accused the Republic of shelling and violating peace agreements.
"We strongly reject the fact that Kiev's delegation to peace talks head does not mince his words and calls for war. It is outrageous that the calls are in line with Ukraine's strategy, ehich it tries to promote within its recent projects," Nikonorova said.
She said that Kiev's rhetoric and actions coincide in the current situation, but "unfortunately, both are not aimed at the peace settlement, but rather at a further escalation," she said.
"Ukraine is securing the violation of agreements, deprivation of rights and the existing havoc in the legislation," Nikonorova concluded.
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27.
The Contact Group and its subgroups met om February 2-3, but the talks yielded no substantial results. *ot
