Donetsk, Dec 13 – DAN. Kiev must fulfill a whole package of measures in coordination with DPR and LPR to implement the political part of the Minsk Agreements, DPR representative at the Minsk talks Natalia Nikonorova said.
Ukrainian parliament has extended the law on conditions for peace settlement of the Donbass conflict until December 31, 2020. The document was extended several times since October 18, 2014. It had to expire on December 31, but the Normandy Four summit has confirmed that the special status must be permanently incorporated into the Ukrainian law.
"We remind Ukraine that Zelensky personally confirmed at the summit in Paris his commitment to the Minsk Agreements and that Kiev is ready to coordinate all the legal aspects of Donbass status with us," Nikonorova said.
According to her, despite the formal extention of the law its main aspects remain blocked. In fact it has not been in force not for a day.
"Kiev must make a number of steps in coordination with the Republics in order to fulfill the political part of the Minsk Agreements: incorporate the Steinmeier formular into its legislation, exclude articles blocking the law, amend it in accordance with the current legislation, reform the constitution to provide permanent special status to Donbass." *ot
