Donetsk, 25 Aug - DAN. The situation on the contact line in Donbass is deteriorating, said the representative of the DPR in the subgroup on security issues Alexey Nikonorov.
“The situation on the contact line is deteriorating as the number of victims, destroyed houses and civilian infrastructure is growing. Under the conditions of a non-operation coordination mechanism, the full-scale application of which we have been trying to agree on for almost a year, the Ukrainian side is "blurring" the work, " he said.
Nikonorov added that Kiev is demanding answers from Donetsk on its security complaints, but at the same time completely ignores similar complaints from the negotiators of the Republic, "at best, portraying the victims among civilians and the damage to their homes as fakes."
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27.
To avoid misunderstanding and manipulations with coordinates, time, dates and conditions, the DPR presented its suggestions in written. The document is a clear road map of additional measures to be taken to eliminate violations of positioning.*ot
