Donetsk, Dec 21 - DAN. Ukraine has sabotaged the larger part of the political subgroup sessions in the outgoing year, Donetsk People’s Republic Deputy Foreign Minister, DPR representative in the political subgroup Natalia Mikhailova said on Tuesday.
“Complete sabotage by Ukraine is the political subgroup’s result in the outgoing year 2021,” Mikhailova said. “The Ukrainian delegation has never read our road map version; as a result, it offered on comments on our document; Ukrainian representatives ignored Donbass representatives or their questions at some 60 percent of sessions.”
On top of that, Kiev negotiators disconnected from video conferences three times, and refused to proceed, on nine occasions, to the official part of the sessions which made up 40 percent of negotiating time. The special status initiatives brought forward by the Republics were blocked. The Ukrainian delegation has not been disposed toward substantive talks for a year. Today’s meeting was no exception, she added.
“Throughout the session, Mr (deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation Andrey) Kostin kept referring our proposals on the special status of Donbass to the email address of the Verkhovnaya Rada (parliament). However, he promised to update the Ukrainian action plan, but was puzzled by the Minsk Agreements’ providing for the establishment of certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. This caused the Kiev representative to lapse into some inexplicable hysteria,” Mikhailova said.*jk
