Donetsk, Sep 20 – DAN. Ukraine has failed to present its official position on the Donbass special status at today's talks in Minsk, despite its promise to do so, said DPR acting Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.
"Even though Ukraine's official representative in the Contact Group Leonid Kuchma gave his promise at the previous meeting, the official position of Kiev has not been announced," Nikonorova said in her commentary made available to DAN.
Today's political subgroup talks yielded no significant results, she added. Kiev's representatives do everything possible to let the law on Donbass status expire on October 18, 2017 thus endangering the Minsk process, DPR acting Foreign Minister said.
"All these facts show that Kiev lacks true intentions to implement the Minsk Agreements, though it is their turn to make affirmative steps," she added.
After the September 6 meeting Ukraine's official representative in the Contact Group Leonid Kuchma confirmed that by the next meeting Kiev will come up with its position on the prolongation of the law on Donbass special status. *ot
