Donetsk, May 18 - DAN. The session of the Contact Group subgroup on humanitarian issues yielded no results, Donetsk People’s Republic ombduswoman, DPR representative in the humanitarian subgroup Darya Morozova said on Tuesday.

“The humanitarian subgroup’s session was unavailing,” Morozova said in a statement. “Kiev representatives again failed to present a report on the dropping of prosecution against the participants in the 2019-2020 POW exchange.”

In this connection, the discussion over new stages of the exchange remains blocked. It was not possible to work though a single agenda item due to the opponenets’ fault, Morozova said.

“We regard the behaviour of Ukrainian negoatiators as purposeful stabotage of the discussion over humanitarian issues,” the ombudswoman said.

During the POW exchanges in 2019 and 2020, Ukraine passed 71 people to the Republic but it has not dropped criminal charges against 50 of them. The previous prisoner exchange in Donbass took place in April 2020. Back then, the DPR handed over nine people to Kiev and the latter passed ten people to Donetsk.*jk
