Donetsk, Feb 2 – DAN. Humanitarian subgroup participants made headway in agreeing the detainee list at the meeting in Minsk on Wednesday, DPR ombudswoman Darya Morozova said.
“Thanks to the meaningful dialogue, humanitarian subgroup representatives made considerable progress in confirming the list of detained persons,” Morozova said.
The Wednesday meeting was productive taking the sides one step closer to prisoner exchange. “Hopefully, it will take place shortly,” the ombudswoman added.
DPR repeatedly urged Ukraine to exchange detainees under the all-for-all principle laid out in Minsk, but Kiev representatives gave no reply at several successive Minsk meetings. On 26 January, the humanitarian subgroup decided to hold a video conference over the issue to have Ukraine finally produce an up-to-date list of detainees. *jk
