Donetsk, Jun 7 – DAN. DPR at today's meeting of the Humanitarian working group of the Contact Group has insisted on the continuation of the detainees verification and its mandatory finalization before the next round of talks, said DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova.
"After we rebutted Kiev's claims, a decision was adopted to go on with the verification procedures and to finalize the process before the next round of talks."
Morozova explained, that DPR proves that it is possible to question 166 detainees more; Kiev assumed responsibility to provide notarized copies of prison release certificates after serving their terms.
"Humanitarian subgroup agrees to continue POWs verification."
DPR representatives at the humanitarian subgroup meetings in Minsk repeatedly called for completing the verification procedure earlier cut short by Kiev. The Ukrainian side claimed it has finalized the process. Verification is to establish where prisoners prefer to stay after they are released, either in Ukraine or in Donbass Republics. *ot
