Donetsk, Mar 15 – DAN. DPR People's Council vice-speaker Olga Makeyeva urged lawmakers to participate actively in humanitarian program of Donbass people reunification.
"I urge all DPR parliament's lawmakers to join the program and put all efforts into it to speed up the process of reunification and make people believe once again they are not forgotten," her statement seen by DAN reads.
She emphasized that in the tough circumstances of economic blockade and information war the Republic's residents not only continue fighting but are willing to help their compatriots.
"These are our citizens, they are a part of Donbass that needs support and is waiting for an opportunity to come back to the cradle."
As was reported earlier, about 450 residents of Kiev-controlled DPR territories and a number of Ukrainian regions addressed the website of the humanitarian program on reunification for consultations.
On 17 February 2017 DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the program of humanitarian assistance for residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donbass. The key objective of the program is to provide financial, medical and educational assistance to socially vulnerable groups. *ot
