Donetsk, Mar 9 – DAN. DPR has regained control over three townships today,  the DPR Defence's deputy chief of staff Eduard Basurin said.

"Since the beginning of the day, Olginka, Rovnopol and Ivanovka have passes under our control," he said.

All the three townships were founded in the times of the Russian Empire. In particular, Olginka appeared in 1779, during the reign of Catherine II. Its current population is less than 3,000 people. Rovnopol and Ivanovka were founded in 1858 and 1843, respectively. The former became one of the agricultural settlements of the Jews in the Donbass. Today both are home to a thousand inhabitants. *ot
